Curriculum Philosophy

Mindful & Reflective Practice affirms that learning begins with presence and transformation begins with reflection. This course empowers Grade 11–12 learners—especially those navigating displacement, grief, or systemic harm—to explore systems of thought, emotion, and identity through trauma-informed, multilingual, and project-based instruction. Students build fluency in self-awareness, metacognition, and restorative practice while designing artifacts that honor their growth, values, and voice.

What’s Distinct About This Course?

  • Strand-Integrated Design:

Aligns with GlobalCore Appendices H (Mindful & Reflective Practice), E (Global Competencies), F (Creative & Expressive Arts), and I (Global Citizenship & Civics)
